Terms of service.

These terms govern your access to and use of the website, products and telecommunications services provided by Ring Centrales de Costa Rica S.A. (“Ring”, “we”, “us”).

This document may be updated from time to time, and the specific service agreement you sign for a given product may add or modify terms that apply to that service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing this website or by ordering, activating or using any Ring service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the website or our services. If you accept these terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

2. Services

Ring is a telecommunications carrier licensed by SUTEL under resolution RCS-251-2019, operating a 100% IP network from San José, Costa Rica. Our services include programmable voice, messaging, numbering, mobile connectivity and cloud telephony. The scope, features and commercial conditions of each service are described in the applicable service agreement, order form or product documentation.

3. Accounts & eligibility

To use most services you must create an account and provide accurate, complete and current information. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be of legal age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the services to:

  • engage in fraud, abuse, spam, spoofing or any deceptive practice;
  • send unlawful, harassing, infringing or harmful content;
  • interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our network or systems;
  • violate any applicable telecommunications law, SUTEL regulation or third-party rights.

You are responsible for ensuring that your own use, and the use by your end users, complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

5. Fees & billing

Fees, rates and billing cycles are set out in the applicable service agreement or order. Unless stated otherwise, charges are payable in the currency and within the period specified on the invoice. Late or unpaid amounts may accrue interest and may lead to suspension. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless expressly noted.

6. Service levels

Network and service status is published at ringcr.statuspage.io. Any service-level commitments, including uptime targets, support response times and remedies, are defined in the applicable service agreement for your service. In the absence of a signed service-level agreement, services are provided on a commercially reasonable basis.

7. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the services if you breach these terms, fail to pay amounts due, create a security or network risk, or where required by law or regulatory authority. You may terminate in accordance with the terms of your service agreement. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

8. Intellectual property

The website, the services and all related software, documentation and content are owned by Ring or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Ring® and Ping® are registered trademarks of Ring Centrales de Costa Rica S.A. No rights are granted to you except the limited right to use the services as set out in the applicable agreement.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Except as expressly stated in a signed agreement, the services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ring will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

10. Governing law & jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the services will be submitted to the competent courts of San José, Costa Rica, without prejudice to any mandatory regulatory or consumer protection rights.

11. Changes to these terms

We may modify these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
